Does anyone know whether ADFs can tolerate FC? I have had them for 2 years with no problems but now one of my guys is very sick with fuzzy white growths surrounding his leg and on his tummy - it looks lke fungus. I think he will die for sure if not treated . Is FC the right thing to use - I used it on my gf with great success. I would appreciate any advice ASAP - thanks.

Sorry to hear about your frog. I recently had the same questions when my clawed frog developed problems. From what I found out, almost everything is safe to use on them except ich meds. Read the package of anything you use to make sure it doesn't specifically say not safe for inverts or amphibians. It might be a good idea to isolate him and dose him with meds as soon as possible, you could also try swabbing him. Thanks for the info on the site- I will take a look. I have searched around on other sites and have read that folks have used salt or maroxy for fungus on ADFs but have not read anything about jungle fungus clear. I am also concerned about what dose to use since I heard that frogs may be more sensitive than fish. This is so weird though - I have never seen anything like it. The frog was fine 2 days ago and now one of his legs is encassed in white fluffy (presumably) fungus. I am going out to look for meds on my lunchbreak since I need to try something soon.

That is strange for sure. I read a few sites that reccomended swabbing severely affected areas directly, maybe that would be the best idea. And yes, frogs are more sensitve than fish since they absorb everything through their skin. I treated mine with general fish fungus meds at their full dosage and he seemed fine. (he didn't have fungus...just age spots apparently ) Good luck with it, I hope your little guy is ok.

Do your remember what specific med you swabbed with and/or what general fungus med you used?

I used Aquarium Pharmacuticals brand liquid fungus cure, sorry but I don't know what it's main ingredient is, people on the frog forum also suggested I use Mar-Oxy, but that's not available where I am.
