Hi,
I live in a place with the temp will be touching 48 degrees. Will a goldfish breed in this temperature. Is there is any way to reduce the water temp and make them to breed. If i make frequent water changes say about 20% change in every 3 days does this encourage the spawning conditions.

48 degrees of definetely way too low for the fish to breed - they won't be stimulated at this kind of temperature. The colder the water gets, the more still the fish will become, and with 48 degrees they aren't even eating anymore, never mind spawning. The ideal temperature is 68 degrees, and even that is only a calculated number from breeders. Depending on where you are, they might spawn below that even, but definetely not at 48 degrees.
Are your fish outside, or inside?
