Well its still an unwanted present from my Mum, but hey its a wee bit bit better then three stunted goldfish LOL. She gave me 11 full grown pond snails and one baby one. Are these guys actually useful for anything? Or just prolific breeders? am tempted to try and build a mini pond with them in a 1.5g tank and some parrots feather and other plants and see how they go, or they could just go in the goldy tank.
So who knows something about pond snails? apart from the fact their prolific breeders and absolute pests when it comes to ponds LOL.

What type of snails are they? Can you post a pic? They will need a lot more room the a 1.5 gallon those little slimers poop just as much if not more then goldies. I had my snails in with my goldies origionally but they picked on them are were never able to eat so now they are in their own tanks.

They are pond snails, thats the only name I've ever seen em under, they don't grow any bigger then 1cm across the shell and breathe air.
