So in the middle of the night last night I got up to get a glass of water and peeked in on my ranchu's in QT in the kitchen (one of them isn't feeling well). I also have a snail tank set up in the kitchen and there he was on the highest rock in my tank with his siphon sticking straight up into the air, he looked like the Statue of Liberty. The point of the rock he was on was right in the path of air bubbles and the minute he saw me he shut up tight.

I ran and grabbed and camera and carefully creeped back into the kitchen and sure enough he was doing it again! Was he playing in the bubbles? I swear it was a rendition of Leonardo Di Caprio in Titanic.

I'll have to post a photo later. At the moment he's sitting on a piece of cucumber chowing down. He's the teeniest snail with the biggest appetite ever.

Are you sure it was water you grabbed in that glass? That must have been so cute. I think snails do like to play in the air bubbles. They are so much fun to watch. Can't wait to see the pic.

Either that or he was flipping me off! Or worse!

When I first saw him he was hovering right over the bubbles sphion/atennae flapping in the wind/air? lol It was like watching a dog stick his head outside a window. By the time I woke up and found the camera he had moved over a bit. Origionally I was going to name him Leroy Jenkins as he seems to love going full speed ahead and has already crawled out of the tank even with a hood and I found him in my slipper. But now I think perhaps I should name him Flash, for several reasons. Here he is...Well I think its a he anyways. I'm not the best photographer and at 4am even worse but this is the best shot I have. Don't mind the rock that appears to be floating that's actually on the outside of my tank.
