Okay so a month ago, now that i think about it i bought this guy exactly today a month ago!, okay well when i bought him he was in the fantail/ oranda section of the store and when we got home i noticed he has a LIIITTLE growth. His head doesn't look anything like my fantails. i don't know how old he was when i bought him but most likely a couple of months old. Will I have to wait for time to tell if he really is an oranda? sorry i can't provide pics i don't have a digi cam since mine decided to break

Sometimes the young Orandas don't show their wen - it's too small to see. Your Oranda's wen will probably get bigger as it grows. There are some foods you can feed you fish to help the Oranda's wen grow larger. I can't remember the brands, but in the goldfish food section, I'm pretty sure that there's a pinned topic about the different brands of food.

Yep. My Oranda - Rowan - has an almost non existant wen. But she's a Red-Cap Oranda, so it's a little easier to spot.
