looks like a one gallon minibow with light. It is almost impossible to heat a 1 gallon. you probably do not need a heater with a one gallon. you can probably provide heat by just leaving the light on most of the time. My 2.5 gallon has a light I leave on most of the time and it keeps the females tank around 78 degrees. If you decide to leave the light on most of the time then you need to provide a hidey hole for you fish so he or she can get away from the light when they want. Also if you use glass marbles for substrate you will find it easier to clean vs the gravel or go bare bottom for that matter.

so what type of beta should i get ??

I had my daughters betta in a tank exactly like that one (only pink). Just to warn you I had a really hard time keeping the amoina level down. I was doing a total water change every other day. I ended up buying a 2.5 gallon minibowl and haven't had trouble with amoina since.

I'd say take out the filter and do every other day water changes. It will provide a lot more room for your fish and you will have more room to decorate it. biggrin.gif As for betta, I think you should get either a veiltail, plakat or crowntail. Doubletails, halfmoons, and super deltas are a bit harder to please and take a lot of work.

Yeah, I agree the 1 gal is just about usable for a betta if you're VERY strict with the water changes, although personally I think a 2.5-5 gal tank would be a much better home and a lot easier to manage the water quality in smile.gif
