hi
I've been feeding my gf pro-gold pellets since augaust every now and then, but when i do the pellets always get stuck in my gf's mouth. Sometimes when the pellet sinks down to gravel my gf would go pick it p and the gravel and the pellets would get stuck in his mouth. So now when i feed him the pellets i have to hand feed it to him. Either way the pellet still gets stuck no matter how small i break it.
so why does the pellets kep getting stuck? i feed my flakes and he eats those ok
thanks

Progold is a food that falls into pieces and turns into mush rather quickly if soaked just a tad too long, so something around 10-15 sec should be enough, otherwise the fish will have even more trouble eating it if it falls apart in even smaller pieces...

When you say stuck, do you mean it's actually stuck in the opening of the mouth, or that it remains in the fish's throat for a while? If the latter, then this is norma as they take a while to chew it up.

it looks like it gets stuck in his throat because his mouth is still open and some times he will pick up some gravel with the pellet and both will get stuck and he'll end up spitting everything out....iam scared something will happen if he is unable to spit it out one day

Sounds to me like he is just chewing. Mine take ages to chew the pellets up and you can see them being turned over in their throats. I wouldn't worry, sounds completely normal behaviour to me.
