I think my black moor's having ick problem. I noticed he's having 2 white dot on his tail and another 2 dots on his top fin. Should I start with salting the tank to 0.1% today or should I wait and observe? My BF bought me 2 new goldies on 2/25/07 and i didn't quarantine them which's a big mistake i made. My black moor is eating well and swimming happily, sometimes bottomsitting. Any help will be appreciated, as i am fairly new at goldfish keeping.

And by the way,are these white spots just white/flat in color,or when looking at them,do they look as if someone sprinkled grains of salt/sand onto the fish?

Hi Devs, thanks for the welcome and reply. The white spots on my black moor's (Robert) top fin disappeared today, but the 2 white spots on his tail appeared kinda flat today. I also noticed on the left side of his body there's a white spot, it's like the size of this ( ) sorry i don't know how to tell you the size so i use ( ). I hope you won't mind. Hi everybody, now I suspect my Robert is having a bacterial infection. I saw some stringy poop in my tank lately so I think it's probably from Robert. I'm going to order some medi-gold, but does anyone use goldfishconnection.com's jump start too? I'm still deciding of whether should I buy both or not, any suggestions? And should I feed all of my goldies with medi-gold or just my Robert?
