my husband really wants to cut down on the ammount of tanks we have in the house 5 tanks

55 gallon for his angelfish
10 gallon cichlid for my daughter
20 gallon 1 goldfish for me (since he took over my 55 gallon)
2 1 gallon for bettas

i have an extra 5 gallon regular shap tank it has no lid but also have an extra 5-10 gallon aqua tech filter and an extra tetra wispher filter in tank filter that came with a 5 gallon mini bow

and he was thinking the 2.5 gallon mini bow kit from wally world it has the divider for it to put 2 bettas in since it already has the filter and the divider thing.

i dont know what would be better though i would like to use the regular 5 gallon tank (find a top) with the in tank filter tetra wispher and a divider it will give the more room then the 2.5 mini bow or i can use the aqua tech 5-10 filter so it doest tank up all the room in one side of the tank but not sure bout the flow what filter would better and i could get them a heater that way too

my husband wants to get the 2.5 mini bow cause it already has everything with it

or just leave in there 1 gallon aqua scene

I think I would go with a five gallon minibow. Wally world also has a 5 gallon minibow as well for $35 with everything in it. Actually that is the cheapest I have seen it sold for. That way you could divide the tank and each betta would have approx 2 to 2.50 gallons each. If you put them in a 2.5 gallon divided one ( I have two of them so I am familar with them) you will be giving one fish 1.5 gallons of room and the other side with the filter that fish would only being getting 3/4 a gallon room or so becasue the filter takes up some room on that side of the tank. So I would tell you husband to get the 5 gallon minibow instead

i have a 5 gallon mini bow but i cant find a divider that will fit it since its bowed in the front and i have the tetra wispher filter it came with it does take up buch of room thats why i thought the regluar 5 gallon with the aqua tech hanging filter just make a lid ?

Actually the 5 gallon minibow would be better. you can get plastic cross stitch material fromt he craft store and make a divider. I will see if I can find the post of how to do it for you

I would try the plastic canvas method then you can custom fit it to the tank. Petsmart also carries dividers

i guess i dont get how the divider will stay put in the front since its bowed out but my husband made a lid for the normal 5 gallon and i could just put the filter that came with the 5 mini bow in that one wouldnt it be just bout the same that way as using the 5 mini bow ?

yup probably so.
