I think the fish in this video is a common goldfish but something tells me it may be a rare species or the fish is overfed or the fish has a disease or it could be taking drugs like steroids

Looks like it is a pearlscale to me, but certainly the widest I've ever seen! It's terrible that those people are pounding on the glass like that...

Anyone else have an idea?

I know its not a pearlscale that fish had a single cadual fin and pearlscales have two cadual fins

Really sick common. Doesn't look dropsied, but really sick fish nonetheless.

That is just plain sad.... and from what is posted by the owner, he seems proud he has the "fattest goldfish"

How awful. You are right, they seem proud of it and not too concerned about the health of the fish.

All those fish are suffering. Far too many fish in there! 3 or 4 commons and the hybrid....so sad
