Does anybody has Jungle Val in your tank? Is it ok to put in GF tank? Thanks

I've been wondering the same thing. They are so neat when they get huge. Until I find someone who has tried it with goldies, I'm sticking to onion plants.

So I looked this up Fred and I read that it grows like a jungle and that it will grow to cover the surface of smaller tanks and therefore not a good idea if you are after green water where open surface is important...

Thanks Imogen,
I want green water but don't have enough luck for it yet. The water doesn't turn green even I try everything. So instead of green water, I put some plants in my 90 gallons.

Yep it looks like the back right corner plant doesn't it? I think it would be fine in aquariums Fred. Vallisineria gigantea is the other name right? And I think people keep Vallisineria in their tanks. If it grows like a weed with runners too you could just cut it back...also I believe it changes color to a nice red when it's mature. I say it's a do!

Thanks Imogen, I will put mine in the pot, so it won't have a chance to produce runner sad.gif They are in qt right now. I will post a pic once I have it in the tank. Thanks again.
