Hi, where can I get color enhancing food for the goldfishes ? What natural food (vegiee, worms etc) are good for their color ? I currently feed my fishes pro-gold | tetrafin flake | and treats include veggies | blood worm.

Thanks

I really don't think you need a color enhancing food with the food you are giving unless you are trying too bring out the reds.

I make my own gelfood, and add certain things as color enhancer - spirulina is one of them, so is red pepper. It does bring out the red more, unfortunately, it turns the white into a more peach or light red coloration, and it takes a month or two to get rid of that again.
For show fish I have been told by a friend, that prospective show fish are fed color enhancer up to 6 months before a show, but then stopped on that food 2 months before the show, to bring back the bright white coloration. You dont want some dirty looking white on a fish going to a show....! rolleyes.gif

Saw this on our local pet shop. Does this really help? Should it be fed just like any other gf food or is it like some kind of medication? How much should i feed it?

I have the growth enhancing kind...what does this really do? How should i use it? What are the direct effects of it?

You do not need to enhance the colors of your goldfish.
(To be Persenal i find it really stupid).
