so i went to a place here in PHX called The Ocean World to get some plant substrate and ended up getting 3 hong kong plecos and a lil goldie from the fancy goldfish tank.
i HAD to have him because his tail fins were so unique. the top part of the tail fins are fused together. it doesn't look like a tosakin though because his fins don't really have that "butterfly" look. they've still got the dip in the middle.
i'm wondering if he's a mix between some two breeds or if it was just a mutation.

Hm, I don't see any headgrowth, so that would make your little darling a fantail with a fused tail. Interesting to see how it looks from above - can you take a picture so we can see?

Hes very nice looking

hes just a fantail with a fused tail. Fused tails are just a common deformity. my moor, goggles, has a fused tail.

My new Ryukin has a fussed tail also, it's part of the reason I bought him, it makes his tail look very big. Cute fish I wonder if he will get more red or more white as he gets older.

Would a fused tail and a web tail actually mean the same?

haha thanks guys. he's one of my happy little accidents.
i suppose it's a good thing i checked the fancies as opposed to just leaving with my plant substrate.
