I've only seen grey/white & black and I looked pretty extensively as I'm all about DIY. I have a few aquarium projects too!

Good luck with your search..

I think you are looking for would be in the hamster/rodent isle of your lfs.

I would give a word of caution though, as the fish grow they can get stuck in there. So you may have to keep watch on it and when they get big enough to get stuck you'll have to remove it until they grow big enough not to even get in it.

You'd be amazed at how these gf try and wiggle into tight places. One of our members lost a gf to "squeezing" behind the filter intake tube and died. Crazy little guys, they think they can go anywhere.

I haven't tried looking for it locally, but I know they do sell it, to get clear PVC piping that is large enough for goldfish (particularly as they grow) you're going to have to shell out a pretty penny. Do a google search of "clear PVC pipe" and you can see what I'm talking about. Maybe you could find a scrap piece from a local seller cheaper, since you don't really need a whole 5 or 10 foot length.

I've seen people make "fish highways" and such out of these to connect separate tanks.

Alternately if you'd like to make a tunnel for your fish, you can use plastic canvas and fishing twine to make it any size you want for almost nothing. It won't be entirely see through, but you can cut out sections of it so that you can see through parts of it, or maybe weave silk plants into it a little bit.

I have made tunnels out of my clay pots. I punched the bottoms out of them, and then used a file to make them smooth. They aren't transparent, but it gives them an out of the way place to hide, and something to swim through.

I think the plastic canvas is my best bet. 24c/ea w@l m@r t. Might need a few pieces.

I saw the rodent tunnels & its ~$10 for 4-5 pieces, 4" each.

You might be able to find see thru plastic/rubber hose that's big enough.

They make bird feeders out of see thru plastic pipe. You could probably find one of those bird feeders used for almost nothing.

What about cutting the top and bottom off of a water bottle.
KoiGuy
i'll look for a used bird feeder!

plastic bottle = sharp edges

Maybe putting aquarium silcone around the cut edges would smooth out the edges.
KoiGuy
yeah but you want to use the whole sealant tube once you open it.
