Although nnnnnn typically has low prices, buyer beware! The aquarium products I have seen there are of inferior quality (in my opinion of coarse). On top of that, any kit or bundle usually includes unnecessary items that you end up paying for anyways. "No" is my initial reaction, Black Oranda. I believe that fish keeping can be done on a budget, but I will not sacrifice quality. You’d be better off finding a tank on sale from a reputable dealer and building your own stand. Hood and lights are options.

Just my opinions of course.

If you are in the lower mainland, king ed sells a 37 (or around there) gallon tank, with top and light for $99. No idea the brand or quality though.. but its cheap.

My advice: Get a 20 gallon "long".

Might not be too bad a price, depends on what else is available in your neighborhood.

You see different aqauriums in different Walmarts lately, I've noticed. Today I saw one about 30 or 40 gals and it came with a fully assembled stand in a box. Before today i've always seen the stands in the little box to assemble yourself. 90 miles south at the nnnnnn by my mum's they had a 70 gal aquarium without a stand for sale.

I've recently bought a 29Gal for about 54 (US) no light or stand at a LFS.
