my baby goldie cant open its mouth and is only able to suck in tiny particles, im scared s/he might not be able to get enough food. s/he swims to the food but just bumps into it because s/he cant open its mouth. water quality is good, any ideas what could cause this?

no idea. How old is your baby?

s/he is about 6 months old and is oly about an inch big.

hmmm, you could try forcing her mouth open. Sounds very strange!

s/hes only small though. i think id rather leave it. s/he is getting lots of small particles of food so its not that bad.

Has her mouth always been like this or has she only just started doing this? Is there any redness around the mouth or strings blowing in and out?

there are no obvious signs at all. she has only started doing this within the past week.
