If overfeeding your fish, can that cause your water to go cloudy with small particles in it and for a while now it has had a smell to the water or is the fishy smell the norm, ive started to use different food

i usually give them 2 large pinches of food twice daily

Only feed them what they'll completely eat in about ten minutes. Otherwise, the food that is uneaten will "rot" at the bottom of your tank, and it's a really messy situation! Also, uneaten food is ore likely to just get sucked in by the filter and be wasted.
