I noticed ick about a week ago on one of my molly's.. have been treating with 'quick cure' had others clear up where it spred yet she is still infested. I did a part water change two days ago to see if that might help and she is still spotty and the others are starting to brake out again.. any advice on how to cure ick quickly? with out changeing the whole tank (i have snail (mystery snail) babys as well as two batches of molly's)
Any help at all be loved. Thank you

Hi Sudina, sorry to hear that your fish are sick. The thing about Ich Meds, are that if they contain formalin/Malachite green, your tank has to be kept dark as the light will deactivate the meds. Most people will treat the tank, and then keep the light off and cover the tank with a towel or something during treatment.
DId you follow the directions exactly? You will probably need to take the snail out during this treatment.Ich has three stages of life, and the only time that they're really vulnerable to the meds, are when they fall off of the fish and the little cysts hatch,so you'll not only have to do water changes, but also gravel vacs,to help rid the tank of these parasites. How many treatments have you done-what size tank do you have?

You should also turn the heater up to 84f which speeds the life cycle up and add extra air to the water.
