I've just set up my new 55 Gal long body tank ... The old 42 gal hexagon leaked last week, is this a coincident or what ? now I get a new tank for Christmas smile.gif Please add your comments / suggestions / opinions on what else to do to make this new enviroment better.

I moved everything from the old tank to the new one to get the cycle starts asap. The current setup has a Penguin 170 and an Emperor 400 , 2 bubble walls, bare bottom. a 250 watt heater that sets at 80 degree, for some reasons if the degree is about 75 , my fishes usually get these white spots on their bodies, but as soon as the temp raised up to 80, all those dissappear overnight.

The residents of the tank are 4 goldfishes: 1 ryukin, 1 perlscale, 1 lionhead and 1 oranda - they are about 3 inches each, the oranda is about 4 inches and has some very long and big tails and an applesnail. The fishes seem to like it a lot, they have much more room to swim comparing to the old hexagon tank.

I feed them pro-gold, bio-gold , some flakes just to mixed up the diet. Treats include bloodworm & brine shrimp, cocktail shrimp. Once a week they get peas and all kind of veggies & fruits .

I plan to change 15 gal , 15/55, that's about 30 % weekly .

Anything other suggestion ?
