Well I have been having my 2 fantails and black moore for almost a year and a half....and one day about 4 months after I got my goldfish my mom brought hom two very tiny about 1/2 inch long blue catfish(river catfish)...and I put them in with my goldfish unknowing it might harm my goldfish....but now 1year 1/2 has passed and the catfish are about 5 1/2 inches long and everything has been working out grand between them...but my question is ...could this harm my goldfish (health wise)..in the long run?....should i remove my blue cats?......

at my lfs, they have this pond. they contain some koi and an albino catfish, they look crowded in there as the pond was small. they seem like they were in there from a long while back.
sorry, can't help you with your fantails and moor

If you're from around the southern part of the states,You may be talking about Ictalurus furcatus, which is one of the largest growing Catfish. Sometimes Blue Catfish and Channel Cats are confused. Either way though, both fish get huge and should not be in an aquarium with your goldfish.JMO. .As far as I know, they are very opportunistic predators, and will anything that they can fit into their mouths.
