I'm not sure if this is the correct forum, but it's where I keep seeing that driftwood is needed for many of the different types of 'algae eaters' such as bristle/bushynose, rubberlip, etc.
I FINALLY have located an LFS that has some rubberlips in stock, but I don't have driftwood in my tank, only a large piece of Mopani wood.
Knowing that not all things are equal, expecially wood, I just want to verify that this wood will work or do I need to specifically get driftwood? I know Mopani is a hard wood, so maybe it can't serve the same digestive purposes that driftwood, being softer, does?
TIA!
Lisa
ETA: Ugh. Edit won't let you fix typos in the subject line! It should read Mopani, not MopaniO. (Typos, especially my own, drive me bonkers.)
