Has anyone used Bio-Bale filter media in their filters with success? I am thinking about getting some...

Nenn, it really does look intersting. I have found some on ebay and also by googling. It's a little pricey but if it works and it lasts, will be worth it. The manufacturers claim it to be the best bio-media ever made. I'm going to give it a try.

If it's unravel-able then I bet it's super easy to get the bacteria to grow on it: just wind it up around some old media for a while and then unwind and place in new filter!
