I got a new tank and stand for Larry finally. It is bigger then a 20 gallon I know. I think it is a 29 gallon. When I can post a picture I will. I found it at a consignment sale. I don't have filter media for it, but it can be purchased. I actually have the filter system from a 55 gallon tank that I will use on this one.

I know how to disinfect the tank and plants and so on.... Should I let it cycle before I add a friend for Larry?

Should I leave the 10 gallon up and let it be the quarantine tank - yeah I should... dumb question!

Do I use the water from Larry's tank in the new tank - maybe leave 1/2 for 10 gall and put half in the one??? I am so excited!

Should I make this one a graveless tank? How do you all like those? I am so excited. I am a step closer to another goldie. I can't wait. I hope to find a silver one like I saw before.

When this tank is ready I will be happy as a pig in a poke - what ever that is! HA!

I am so excited and I just can't hide it... I am about to lose control and I think I like it.... tribana.gif Ooohhh!

Just make sure that the filter is rated for at least 200gph!

Yes, as it is easier on the fish to go into a cycled tank!

You knew the answer, QT and hospital tanks are important!

Water does not really hold much of the bio bugs needed for your tank, they live in the media of your filter, so you could use some of that media thats in your 10 gal tanks filter. Start your new tank with nice fresh treated water.

Thats up to you and how you want your tank to look! I have barebottom tanks and love them!

Congrats on your new tank, have fun setting it up as thats one of my favorite parts of getting a new tank.
