I've been feeding my little guys peas for a while now and they love them, so I've decided to try them on some other stuff that I've read about here on Koko's. I know what I'm gonna feed them, I just need to make sure that I prepare the food properly and the only way to find out is to ask, so here we go...

Cucumber/Zuchinni
Lettuce/Spinach
Celery
Carrot
Tomato
Cauliflower
Strawberry
Banana
Various melons
Orange

I just need to know what to do with these before I can feed them to my fish. I want them to have a huge variety of food, plus I want them to have all the vitamins and minerals that I never had. Rabbit food....yuk
I'm a meat man, but somehow I don't think my fish would be able to digest a steak. I'm sure they'd give it a good go though!

i feed spinach by wilting a leaf (defrosting if its frozen) and then either ripping it up and feeding it to them, or holding it in the tank and letting them have a go at it themselves (more fun)

Most fruit and veg just needs to be boiled for a bit to soften it, and then it can be fed. some need to have the skins taken off (such as oranges)

i dont know how to feed some of the foods you listed, so i'll be interested to hear what others recommend

Thanks for the reply Kat. I tried them on lettuce earlier and they didn't seem too fussed about it, but that's what happened when I first tried them on peas and now they love them smile.gif I'll try again another day.
I boiled a pan of water, put a Pyrex bowl on top with the lettuce leaf in, covered it with another dish and steamed it for a few minutes. I ripped it into smaller pieces but they were still too big so I had to rip them again. My biggest, Prowler, was swimming around with a big chunk hanging out of his mouth. So funny...
