As a newby to Goldfish keeping I am picking up lots of advice from this website.
One further question for you folks.
I am setting up my first tank and following the fishless cycle instructions on this site.
All seems to be going well. During this process should I add new conditioned water to compensate for
evaporation or leave the cycle alone. or does it not matter ??

Thanks again wink.gif

Ideally, you should be adding distilled water... however, cycling takes place relatively fast to have serious accumulation of salts in the tank. You can either leave it alone, or add dechlorinated tap water if there is too much evaporation.
