:)problem solved. i relised that these kits were mostly just very, very fine sandpaper. but are very expensive for what they are.but at 2;30am this morning i still couldnt stop thinking about those darn scratchs. so i found a small scratch on bottom corner at the side of my tank, and thought i'ld give it ago myself.that way if i messed it up you couldnt really see it there. so i found a old emeryboard ,and using the finest side i blunted it even more be lightly filing a bit of wood (well actually, it was the back of my shelf,anyway.....) then i rinsed the file off in water, dryed it,moistened the scratch, and gently set to work filing it,being careful to just stay on the scrath and not the area around it.it grew very cloudly and looked awful, but i knew this was gonna happen as i had read about it on one of those sratch kits,'it gets worse before it gets better'. so i kept it moist ,and when i could no longer feel the scratch dentation,i knew it was time to stop. the file was not fine enough to get rid of the last bit of cloudyness,as the cloudyness was very fine scratches ,finer than the file,so if i kept going i would be back at stage one(worse even).i needed to find something much smoother, then i remered something my nan told me 'rubbing toothpaste on the glass of watches, eventually gets scratches out'.

it was my last resort. and sure enough after two hours of rubbing, moisten, and washing off, then applying again,it was back to new, never could've known there was even a scratch there.i was chuffed my hard work payed off.but i made sure every last bit off toothpasted was cleaned off the tank with clean, warm water.as i wasnt sure if this could effect the fish,in hindsight i should have thought of that first.but its been a good 22 hours now and there completely normal,so i guess it was ok.but 3 hours for one scracth is a long time,i guess its just a matter of weighing up whats more important......

.......i think i'll wait awhile before i do the others!
