I put an apple core in the crabitat the other night and it sure didn't take long till someone noticed!

I put apple in my tank and my crabs didn't do anything! So i put them in the food dish, but they just crawled out.

Thanks, it's been a work in progress for a long time! When you have larger crabs like I do now, you have to make sure the water dishes are deep enough (but that little ones can still climb out), they won't get stuck in anything, and that the substrate is deep enough for them to dig in, too.

even i would live in there you know, with that little swimming pool, eating apples and food and resting all day, hanging out with friends. not much private though

I had a hermit crab for 2 years (the guy I got it from said they only live for about a year) and it was happy enough in one of those portable tanks with water and food, and some walnut-shell substrate.

I miss having a hermit crab...
