What is the minimum temp I could keep Goldfish comfortably in an exterior building all year round ??
Winters in the UK aren't usually as severe as US. Can't decide if heating the tanks or heating the building
is going to be best.
Reading the experts articles on this site you all seem to differ with your ideas.
An average guide would be great.

Thank you for any help

I am no expert on the subject, however I do keep my tanks at about 65-68 in the winter via heater within the tank.

Now, for economical reasons, depending on the size and the number of tanks you have, it may be cheaper for you to have heaters for each tank, rather than heat the building.
Peaches
i wouldnt go below 60 degrees (F). this is when the fish strats to slow down and conserve on energy, because it thinks colder weather is yet to come.

My goldies are fine at just under 50F for a month or two. I give them a little to eat once a week at this temp.

What kind of goldies are they?

No Goldies in yet
Still in process of fishless tank cycle.
Just planning ahead.
I do have a heater in at present to aid the cylce process.

Thank you for advice so far.
