My tap water is at a pH of 7.0. The tank water has a pH of 7.2. When im carrying out weekly water changes(25%) should I be doing anything to the tap water to make it read the same or is it ok just to use it as it is?

You're fine to use as is.

For those who experience wide swings in the ph, the solution is to leave the tap water sitting out in a bucket for at least 24 hours.
