I've been looking for 2 25 watt hydor heaters for my bettas for a month with little luck

The store I go to had been out the whole time, so I went to another petsmart and they only had one left. I asked about it and they said that petsmart was not going to sell these lovely heaters anymore!! I'm so sad now. These were one of the few heaters I trusted and the ONLY 25 watt I trusted. Is this all Petsmarts that are discontinuing them or just in my area? I might order one onling but they are $5 more expensive plus shipping.....
Does anyone else have any good reviews on a durable, long living and trustworthy 25 watt?

Kissy when I found mine I got it at Petco. I think it ran me $15 or so. It was flat and could be put under the gravel or along the wall

I find the sera 25 watt heater reliable and also the Visitherm 25 watt I use them in my betta tanks

I like Visitherm heaters myself. I always use a thermometer to make sure that the reading on the heater is right and most all the visitherms that I have had are spot on.

Visi therm makes 25 watt heaters? Ugh they never sell those or other brands in 25 watts around here. They don't sell them at petco so I guess I'll be calling around for 25w visitherms and hydors.

I live in Arizona. I looked online at petco's website and they didn't have hydors at all. Maybe I'll call them today.

Yup I acutually got it at my local petco in the store. A lot of times the local stores will have stuff they don't show on the website

I have a 100watt hydor in my 2.5gal... I have had no issues with overheating and the thermostat is very accurate. I pulled it out of my goldie tank to treat my plakat that had ich... but my goldie tank stays around 70-75 this winter so no need to replace. I can NEVER find them at the PetsMart stores around here. There are a bunch of 'mom & pop' stores around here that are usually out of them too. I think your best bet would be to order online.

Whoa a 100 watt?!? You must live somewhere very cold because a 50 watt is even too much for my 10 gallon. I usually have to set it 7*F lower than what I want. Same with 25 watts in 3 gallons. Its pretty warm here and I only need to heat tropical tanks november-marchish.

I am proud that I live in an area where I don't have to heat my tanks. My house stays at a good temp and my tanks stay at around 75 in the dead of winter.
