It is possible but it all depends on what you plan to mix with the dojo's regards plecs.I have kept Hong Kong Plecs in with my loaches

What species of catfish are they?? I would not get something that is so vaguely labeled unless you can recognize what it is.

They had striped cats, they werent that specific of what they were. They were pretty expensensive though. The cool part about them is that they didnt stay on the bottom at all. They were swimming aroung in little packs. It was pretty cool.

I think it is a common pleco. I want the dojos more than i do the pleco. Im thinking about putting him somewhere else or getting rid of him anyway because they had him labled wrong at the lfs and i put him with my goldies sad.gif It doesnt look like that blue. It looks like a regular catfish, but it has silverish stripes.

If its a common plec do not put it in with goldies as they can grow to 0.5meters in length and will eventually eat your goldies.I have a common plec in my tropical tank and he is currently 11 inchs long and still growing.Heres a pic of him.

Striped Catfish is such a loose term and can be anything from a breed of Cory,to a Striped Raphael Catfish to a specific member of the Synodontis family. The best thing to do is really research as much as you can until you think you have found one that looks familiar to you,and then read all about them. There are so many species of catfish, and they all have specific needs. Some may stay small where others can grow huge----some may be too shy to keep with goldfish,or far too aggressive, some may prefer calmer more tropical temps, etc.
