do you think if i got another one it would be ok and not eat my baby fry?
thx for the help!

Maybe you were thinking of Chinese Algae Eater's? Or Oto's?? Chinese Algae Eater's are not actually Pleco's,but we don't recommend them sharing a tank with goldies. As they grow bigger, they tend to be a little cranky, and have been known to suck on a goldie or two. yikes.gif
What size tank are your fry in?If it's an adequate size tank ,you could look into something like Pygmy Cories, who like to shoal in groups. They are known for being a great clean up fish for fry tanks and will eat any leftover food from the babies. smile.gif The only thing is,is that no fish/animal will eat waste,so you'll still have to do water changes and clean the bottom with a gravel vac. I find it's much easier, just to keep the fry alone, but that's JMO. biggrin.gif

thx devs..i have 2 10 gallon tank atm...one with the parents in it and the other with fry....my tank doesnt actually get that bad exept the first couple weeks they were born..but i am what you would call a clean freak...lol and i want the stuff from the bottom gone!lol
the water is very clear and i have bubbler in with the babies..i just dont like how if they dont eat the food it stays and sinks to the bottom..i have read your forums before i like them...i might be getting confused though so im gonna go look at them again.lol
i will look into getting a cory or2..are these fish or something else?can i find them at wallmart or fish store?
i feed my babies once a day now because they always have leftovers so i try to give them new food without over stalking them.im wondering if i could switch to reg food now instead of baby brine shrimp and first start baby food...they are a good month and a half now.i am also having problems with my bigger fry in the tank atm..lol...i just found them eating on of my babies the smorning..ugg
anyhow..with income tax..in like 2 months my hubby told me i can get 2 20 gallons so i cant wait for that..in the mean time there is no way he will let me get another tank..lol
do you have any suggestions and what i could do till then..i mean with my bigger fry and maybe seperating them?or see what one survive?
ok well thank you!
