I have always fed my fish sinking pellets (as well as gel food when I make it and veggies including peas). Recently I got a new bubble-eye fish and notice that she swivels around to find the food on the bottom. It is hard for her to see the pellets and her eyes sometimes push them away! Do you people who keep fish with eyes looking up so to speak, feed top floating food and if so is that easier for them??

Yes, it is easier for them, Imogen, but I still would stick with the sinking food. Is he your only celestial, and what breed are the other fish in the tank?
I have all my eye handicapped fish in one tank - currently no bubble eyes or celestials, but all the telescopes are together. That way everybody has an equal chance. I would love to start a bubble eye/celestial tank again, but I haven't seen any good ones in ages... sigh.....

They are so hard to find here too. I have one small bubble eye- my first and he is in with 2 small telescopes. It isn't that he is slower, as the other 2 are not very good at finding food either but i wondered if people relented and gave in to top food because of the eyes like that- looking up. Well, I guess I'll just carry on as I am...I know hes eating enough. Thanks
