Full Version: Cleaning Carbon Deposits

The guy I'm getting this tank from (hopefully Wednesday! My fingers are crossed.) stated something about how the tank had carbon deposits on the sides of the walls? I'm not quite sure, he had a touch of an accent and was in a hurry at the time so I couldn't ask him to clarify.

He mentioned I should clean it with Cutter or something like that...

He had baby bala sharks in it previously, if that helps any.

Does anyone have any idea of what he was talking about?

He may have meanth calcium deposits, a white buildup along the waterline of the tank. You can usually get it off with vinegar.
