My daughters betta recently got trapped in it's filter ... it's fins are a little roughed up, and he became very sick and stressed out. I moved him out of the tank and into a large bowl with fresh water. I got some Hikari small pellets (didn't seem to like the flake food we fed it... and didn't eat when sick) the fish is definitely showing signs of recovery though, it's swimming around and showing off his fins again... and eating like a pig as well. I picked up some aquarium salt and melafix at my LFS today... I was going to slowly dilute the proper ammount of salt for the bowl and use melafix as directed on the back. Should I keep the bowl salted properly after healing? Also, I was considering feeding it freeze-dried daphnia... is this OK? Thanks for the help... Oh I am going to pick up my black fighter betta tommorow... it'll be going in a 2.5gal acrylic tank. I'll post pics when I get the tank situated.
