I need to go out of town on Friday and will return Sunday evening. The person I ususally have feed the fish is going to be away too! There is no one else.
What to do??? Do I get one of the cakes of food that sit on the bottom and release food slowly, or is it better to feed them on Friday, and again Sunday evening when I get home, skipping Saturday?
You have nothing to worry about. Fish don't really need to eat
every day. It works for both fish in the wild, and domesticated fish with vacationing owners. A few days off never hurts a thing. If you have live plants they wont even notice your absence.

I personally keep watersprite in my tanks which is easy for goldfish to munch on. If the lights are off they'll probably sleep through the whole ordeal.
