My friend decided to get out of fishkeeping so he sold me all of his stuff.... food, tanks and everything! I'm trying to identify one of the things that I got from him and was wondering if you guys could help.

Looks like a Duetto internal filter made by Aquarium Systems.

How does that help you? I believe that is it, but I have never used these filters so I have no clue about the media and maintenance or even the performance of the filter.

FOUND IT!!!! It is a Penn Plax Shark filter.

I have no clue about the maintenance of this filter nor its performance. If you email Penn-Plax, they will send you a manual.

Thanks so much guys! As far as I could tell there was no brand name or anything on it other than where it was manufactured. Seems like it could be a nice little fry tub or betta tank filter.... hmmm yeah.gif

Yes use it in a tank that doesnt need alot of filtration as one other member is finding out internal filters dont work great with goldfish sad.gif

It would make a great supplement filter like for barebottom tanks to kick up the debris and push it towards the filter, or use it as a bio filter in conjunction with your main filter unit. Maybe if your other filter bites the dust, you could use it temporarily, but keep it running in the tank to keep bio bugs in it. biggrin.gif
