I answered on your other thread, but I thought of a few more...

I've heard of people keeping bettas with guppies, but sometimes males get confused by the long tails on guppies and think they're bettas... I bet you could keep a female betta with the number of guppies mentioned above, and have no compatibility problems. But be warned, the betta will keep your tank baby-free (they like live food).

You could get a few corys... maybe 3. They're really cute, and pretty good scavengers. Try for one of the smaller species if you go with those. They might eat guppy babies too.

African dwarf frogs should be ok with guppies, too. Just make sure you're getting an ADF and not a clawed frog, they look similar as babies but the clawed frogs get big and mean.

I don't know of any other fish that would go well with guppies and fit in a tank that small... hopefully someone else will answer!

thanks m8 u ar some good help what fish u got
Black oranda
Because guppies breed and breed they need alot of space for the females
so they don't mate all the time, ummm bettas can go with them
but... male guppies can't go with bettas because of
thier big and colorful tails.

So guppies are best on thier own same thing with bettas.

thanks

Right now I've got a 5 gallon tank with a divider and 2 male bettas, and a 28 gallon tank with 8 danios (zebra, pearl, leopard, and gold zebra), 4 emerald green corys, 1 ghost shrimp (I had 5 in the betta tank but the bettas killed the other 4). I have 4 cherry barbs waiting to go in the big tank, they're being quarantined now so they don't bring in any diseases.

I love guppies, they look really cool, I'd get some myself if I had room for another tank, or if I didn't have the danios (they would be too fast and mean for guppies).

I would put cory catfish with them. They eat all of the extra food on the bottom of the tank.

I don't agree, I think that guppies are find with other fish as long as you are fairly careful. Also, you may not have males and females. I have mollies in a community tropical tank and they are fine and dandy.

Just make sure to have a breeding net/trap just incase!

What size is the tank, Kev? Is it the 18UK that you have mollies in?
motorx1
yep

Ah well,

We have already spoke about that.

well i got 3 guppies and 2 neons. You need at least 3 neons cause they like to be in a pack.
My thired neon died and got sucked up by the filter, so it is easier to get them out.
motorx1
i don't have guppises or neons any more they all died
ali
do you know why they all died?

I don't think having the tempature at 82F would have killed them, are you sure that's what it was? Did they take long to die?
Black oranda
If im not mistaken but i think 82 is actaully normal for them?
Cheese Specialist
That's what I was thinking. Tropical fish can live in pretty high tempatures and 82 is not even that high. I have mine at about 79.

Black oranda
Im sure with my light on it gets about that high......

I don't think it's the temp motorx .......

Could it be bad water quality? Do you have a test kit if so you should check your water just in case.

If not you should get one they come in handy.
