I'm confuzzled.... I think I have a female, maybe... not sure (my fantail who displays breeding stars is chasing alot and the stomach on the fish in question is really round, anal opening is also larger). Anyway... these tiny TINY bubble looking things were released but it was right by the filter out pour so it could have been air I guess, and I cant see any now, I was just wondering what eggs actually look like.

Any help would be appreciated.

yes well the air bubbles look about the same size as actual eggs:P
i know because the first time i thought my fish laid eggs it was bubbles too lol
anyway they look the same but you should be able to tell the difference...im no expert but with mine some are clear some are a lil yellow and some have black specks.
if you are not sure if they are eggs wait a couple days they should get black specks...also they shouldnt move....you see they stick to where ever they were dropped...anyway just to clear things up..my clear eggs are not firtilized and im not sure about the yellowish ones yet...so i hope i was a lil help to you...and good luck.also i did hear i think in this forum that eggs do like to be by the filter :smile.gif maybe its your lucky day.

Thanks for the reply... I actually dont think they were eggs because I cant see them anymore and they didn't stick. When I thought I saw the fish in question release the "eggs" I pulled the filter plug so they wouldnt get sucked up.... I think it was just the air bubbles from the filter, plants, driftwood, etc. settling. They were also so tiny that it would have been impossible to distinguish the difference of color. So oh well... not a big deal, I wasnt ready for fry anyway! smile.gif
