Can goldies eat bloodworms? And would it be bad to feed my black moor and ryukin wen enhancing food along with my oranda? And has anyone heard of the "goldfish shaped food" pellets, are they a no no for goldies?

yes goldies can eat bloodworns. they are high and protine which can help your orandas wen grow. it would not hurt your moor and other goldies eat your orandas food. the only difference is that the orandas food is high in protine to help the wen grow.

Hi Mariah, yes - goldies can eat bloodworms. They are high in protein and as you say can promote growth, particularly wen growth but that doesn't mean you can't give them to wenless fish - they will enjoy them just as much and will be just as beneficial as a dietry supplement. Freeze dried, frozen or gel form are all good. Bloodworms also have a slight laxative effect on fish so can help to prevent constipation/swimbladder problems smile.gif

I should really get some bloodworms if they help prevent swimbladder disorders and that sort of stuff. Thanks!

Yeah, Bloodworms like other "live" foods are a nutritious addition to a goldies diet, but like all other foods you have to be careful not to overfeed. Plenty of variety in the diet will help to prevent constipation/swimbladder problems. Fresh veggies are good too smile.gif
