Tammy D.
Hello all. I have someone finally who is interested in taking some of my baby goldfish. This is a person with an established pond, so I'm happy they are going to someone who knows what he is doing.

My question is how to transport them. I work with this person, so I was hoping to bring them to him at work, then he would take them home with him at the end of the day. This means they would need to be able to stay in whatever I put them in for about 24 hours (allowing for extra time).

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I want those little babies to be safe! Thank you.

Tammy, depending on how many babies we are talking about, I'd just get a rubbermaid container around 8-10 gl, fill it up with 1/4 fresh water and 1/4 tank water, and put the fish in there. It's always handy to have a batterie operated airpump around (power outages always happen when we are not prepared), and let that pump run on their container while they are traveling. Don't feed them a day or two before that, and bring your ammonia remover with you to drop in a few drops during the day.

That's basically it - works very well! thumbs.gif

just a thought, do you have a lunch break at your work? because if you do, then maybe he can take them home then....
