sunday
Ok, from reading the sexing information i seem to have 2 confirmed males and 2 suspected females. but i do wonder if im wrong as my bigest male is chasing the smaller male but they are both chasing the females... i have no idea whats what but my question is how long does it take for a female to go from no eggs to being ready to drop them?

I am a bit concerned as the males are chasing the bigger female almost all day and i dont think she has any eggs to drop.

One of the females is just over 7 cm long and the other 3 fish are all 13-15 cm long if that helps any.

hmmm... i dont know that much about breeding, but does your small female's behind look swollen or fat(in lack of better words)
If so, that means that she has eggs.

ohh by the way, welcometo.jpg .

No she is not showing any signs of being ready to bread, at this stage she could even be a he, but my bigger male is chaseing her around alot but then he is chasing the other male around too but then thinking more into it i think the he has tryed to chase his own reflection.

both my males have the spots on the gills and the pictorial fin so im sure they are male but i only got the females 3 days ago as i was worried that with two males chasing each other with out a "real" cause it could get damaging or something.

i kinda want to know how long it will take her to go from no eggs to dropping them as im unsure as to weather or not i should seperate them.

i think most goldies spray when there around 12 months old, my moor was 1 year and 3 months when she sprayed.

Im pretty sure she is old enough (maybe around 3-4years old) i think she must have eggs cus i have 2 females (i think) and the males are only chasing the one female. i had to remove her from the tank last night cus she was looking pretty tired.

Another Question... when they do have eggs and they get fertilised do the eggs float or sink, im really unsure what to put in the tank and where to put it.
