I have always hod otos in with my goldfish and they have always just hung around on the sides or bottom of my tanks. I now have a couple of otos in with my barbs and for some reason the otos appear to be schooling with the barbs. They swim everywhere the barbs do and appear to be very happy. They still are cleaning the tank of the algae but is this normal for them to school with the barbs???? It is so funny to watch and the otos actually can outswim the barbs. No on picks on anyone either.... I was afraid the barbs would turn on the otos but nope.....

Some of them like to play with the other fish. I have one that plays with my Rubbernose pleco

My otos also love swimming with my lonely tiger barb (I have been looking for a home for the barb since I don't want t-barbs in my community tank)

Oh good. I was kind of concerned since the ones in my goldfish tank hide or just stay on the side that maybe the ones with the barbs were stressed or something. I love to watch all of them interact and swim like crazy.....I hope they stay that way once the barbs get bigger. Right now the otos are bigger than the barbs but I know that will change....
