would anyone know what black specks on my momma fish might be? She seems in good health, still big and fat, but has some black specks around her head?

Black specks dont usually have anything to do with breeding, maybe they are some ammonia burns from water quality. But to get a better answer to your question, I put this topic in the disease section, where you can get more help!
