It's me again, with more problems with my sweet oranda Ollie. He is laying on his side at the bottom of the tank. Is his SBD going nuts again? He normally goes upside down at the top of the tank and then when I do a full water change he is ok. He has been like this for a few weeks now... sad.gif He is eating and pooping, just not flipping back up the right way. I have him in the biggest container I can get that is smooth all the way around the inside, the silicon from the tank was rubbing red places on his side. I have fasted for a day, fed peas for two or three, went back to ProGold, and still no change. Been thru this about threet times. Help!

This is probably one of those things where the answer is right in front of me, I just can't see it for looking....

Hi Michelle sorry to hear your oranda isn't feeling well.

As with any problem, we do need you to fill in the answers to the box above. Thanks

Once that is in we can go over it again, often a fish with SBD is balanced with keeping them upright by a diet regimon. View it more as controlling it not curing it. Make sense?
So what is his normal routine with fasting and peas? How long does it take for him to get right?
