K, so i just got two different cuttings on thursday. I think one of them might be anacharis. I have no idea what the other one is. blink.gif But i just thought that cutting are easier to care for. So i have all of them floating in my ten gallon tank right now. My lighting is 30 watts. Temp is 60-68deg f

Do i need to add fertalizer? Should i just stick them into the gravel? Anything else i need to know?

If it goes well i might try the bulbs you get at wmart. Any advice on this? Thanks.

Anacharis is really pretty undemanding. You can leave it float,or stick it in the gravel to root.By doing that it can get nutrients out of your gravel so you really don't need to feed it.I don't think I've ever fed mine.
The bulbs are also pretty easy to grow with no real special instructions but plopping them in the tank. Both grow on regular aquarium lighting. smile.gif

Ok, Thanks. smile.gif Also i just did a water change today and stuck em in to the gravel, some of the leaves are buried too. Will it be okay?

Akkk, my goldie just pulled up two plants and revealed that the tip that was buried in the gravel is brown. What to do?! krazy.gif

It takes a while for them to start rooting-especially when your Goldies are trying to make Caesar Salad. rofl3.gif
When I plant them,I ususally pull the bottom leaves off that will be going into the gravel.Burying any kinds of leaves will just have them rotting. I've allready broken off brown tips and started again.Sometimes it can be a slow process, but it works eventually. Good luck. biggrin.gif

Thanks Devs, i'll snip off the brown part and replant. smile.gif I've got a bunch of bad looking leaves right now... And a very guilty fish.

So i got a pack of plant bulbs. The one with two, i think it's the lily one. I dropped them in the tank yesterday. Today, one of them has a little fuzzy growth coming out. Is this good or bad?

Please look over at my post in the betta section, my females bettas are fighting and i need suggestions.
