hiya~
I just have a few questions as I have been thinking about moving my tank to a more sunnier part of my apt and I was wondering what would be the best way to do that do I empty out the tank completely @ the risk of the tank having to do another cycle or do carefully move it to the area ofcourse i know i have to take the fish out first wouldnt want goldies to go threw the rough water ride and or should i just wait until my next big water change? Any advice would be handy

hmmm. tough one. for short distances, i just empty most of the water and move it fish and all. but when i had to move it to my room from the floor below, i set up a smaller tank using the old tank water put the fish in, took it down and carried it up stairs.

If possible, empty as much water as necessary so that the tank is light enough to move. The fish will be ok to remain in the tank for the short distance.

You can save some of the water in buckets to put back into the tank, or add new water, most of the beneficial bacteria is in the filter not the water.
