Full Version: Right Time For Aquarium Lights

I read some posts about aquarium lights and I see that people usually have their lights on for 6-8 hours. Is it OK if I turn lights on for one hour in the morning, before I go to work, and then again when I come home, for few hours? Or is it better to do it at once? unsure.gif

Also, I'm moving my fish into new tank and I know that they will be terrified, because they aren't used to lights.

Actually I am doing the same thing. If you don't have plants in your tank, it is fine. But here is the small step that I do, I turn on the light from the room first for 5 min and then turn on the aquarium light.

Thanks! What if I get few live plants (anubias, java fern maybe)?
