Cryptonite, my male platy was such a bully to the females that I moved him to one of the goldy tanks. The goldies were small and he lived there for about a month, all going well, until he started fin nipping. He was such a terror, the little pearlies couldn't get out of his way fast enough. Sooo, I thought ... I'll fix your little red wagon and put him in with some big goldies -The Boisterous Boys!

All went well for a couple of weeks and he started it again. The Boisterous Boys are a rough mob and ten times his size but that didn't stop him, he would harrass them for fun it seemed. Now he is back in the community tank and I hope the presence of females will keep him preoccupied, if he starts harrassing again I don't know what to do, I wish I had a tank of commons - that would sort him out.

That's too funny! Sounds kinda like my Minnie, she's a little brat. She doesn't nip, but she likes to chase My other platies are so sweet and nice, but she is crazy, lol

Lol Annette - that's hilarious He sounds like such a little bruiser but he's certainly getting his fun. Wonder how he'll go with the girls?

Well, it's only been 12 hours but so far he is behaving himself. He has taken an interest in a couple of female mollies, they have quite an attitude themselves so hopefully it will be a match made in heaven.

Nah, he is back to being his cheeky self. At least in the community tank the fish can hide in lots of places and they are just as fast as he is. lol He is not just picking on one fish but spreading himself around, so at least it's not too stressful for any other fish in particular.
