Some of you may remember my earlier post. The fish seemed to have gone through the infection for a while. But it's back. We are trying to setup a 20 gallon hospital tank as i speak so i think that will help the fish out.

I will get pics later, i'm pretty busy with homework.

Fantail, any chance you can get back to us on the problems?

Sorry for the slow feedback, i've been extremely busy with homework. There are no ammonia or nitrites. The nitrates are very low, as in yellow on the test kits cause i just changed the water.

I have a 48 gallon tank with a emperor filter.

Fantail, I know you are so very busy but you are going to have to take time to get us more information. Remember this is a big site with thousands of members and while we try and remember specific problems, it isn't always possible.
Please refresh our memory, as well as a detailed list of what is going on. And you have been around long enough to know we need specifics. wink.gif Even I post exact numbers to others when having a problem.

Hopefully we can get you some real help here soon.

Fantail I am going to move your thread out of the 911 section. Let us know how the fish is doing.

I have set up a 20 gallon hospital tank, the infection seems to have affected another fish. I fear that it might be dropsy because his scales are slightly up.

As for the original sick fish, his condition is unchanged, just laying there.

I'm very sorry that i can't post more, i was up until 1:30 last night doing a project.

But thanks for the help LaurieP

If the lumps themselves are raising the scales and others are infected then its probably a sporozoan parasite from infected food usually.
If youve fed tubifex then thats the main cause but can come in on other natural foods.

The infections can last months but its not looking good for the fish as theres no cure.
